Reflections from the NICM National Symposium

The inaugural NICM Health Research Institute National Symposium on Australian Traditional Medicine was a resounding success, held at the beautifully appointed Judy Jacka Conference Centre. This groundbreaking event united researchers, policymakers, Indigenous leaders, and practitioners to explore the evolving landscape of traditional medicine in Australia.

The energy was palpable, from vital conversations on protecting Indigenous knowledge to collaborations shaping the future of integrative medicine. As one speaker noted, “We’re on the cusp of something big.”
