As part of our commitment to enhancing mental and physical wellbeing, the Jacka Foundation proudly supports Foundation House’s complementary medicine program. Foundation House advances the health, human rights, and healing of people from refugee backgrounds, many of whom have faced immense trauma. The program, which incorporates herbal and nutritional medicine, massage, shiatsu, and yoga, is an invaluable resource that aligns with our mission.
Last year, our interim chair, Dr. Sue Evans, and Foundation House naturopath, Jenny Adams, led a garden tour at Bulleke-bek Community Garden for clients and staff from centres across Melbourne. It was a beautiful day of community, connection, and hands-on herbal discovery as attendees enjoyed exploring plants up close with magnifying glasses.
Sue shared, “It is great to see the complementary medicines program at Foundation House going from strength to strength!”
