Lady Cilento Award

Our congratulations to Judy Jacka on recently being awarded The “Lady Cilento Award” by Complementary Medicines Australia. (CMA)
Judy was presented with the award by CEO Carl Gibson at the Conference Gala Dinner – 26th October 2017 in Sydney.

This is the highest award given by the organisation and recognises those who have lifelong contributions to natural therapies and complementary medicines in Australia. Judy certainly has dedicated many years to industry and more importantly her contributions to the improvement and care of her many patients over the years.

The Jacka Foundation were also honoured to be invited to speak at the Conference. Our newly appointed Board Member Terri Albert, presented a very insightful history of JFNT, which of course meant moving back to the early 1960’s to when Alf and Judy Jacka commenced the “Southern School” and moving forward through the years highlighting their dedication and determination through restrictive advertising practices against natural therapies, turbulent regulatory periods with government and the daily challenges of a growing college. Attendees were very complimentary of the presentation citing that there was so much that they did not realise in the history and background of JFNT, the Jackas and the dedicated founding Board Members.
