The latest research update from our NICM Health Research Institute and Jacka Foundation for Natural Therapies Scholarship Program recipient, Alison Maunder and her colleagues reveals promising findings:
Research Question: Can a randomised control trial (RCT) effectively assess the impact of whole-system naturopathy on pregnancy rates among women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR)?
Key Findings: The study discovered that the naturopathic intervention showed feasibility and acceptability among women with DOR, suggesting potential for improved pregnancy rates.
Next Steps: Further evaluation through a fully-powered RCT is now warranted to delve deeper into the role of naturopathy in supporting women with infertility and DOR.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to explore the intersection of natural therapies and women’s health.
